Our action at the Escoulen School aims to allow woodturning to regain its nobility while being part of a contemporary setting. We strongly believe in the value of this traditional craft and are committed to pass on this precious heritage to future generations. However. this action would be limited without the constant renewal of the profession. That is why we offer a 6 months long training to become a professionnal woodturner. This training is strongly different from the classical training that exists in french professional schools ( Certificate of Professional Aptitude ) directly linked to the national education.
Indeed. modern woodturning is no longer limited to repetitive mechanical gestures in a mass production workshop. It now embodies an art form where each piece is unique and bears the mark of its craftsman’s creativity. The modern woodturner is independent. autonomous and knows how to meet the various needs of its customers by producing unique pieces. small series and even custom parts. At the Escoulen school. we train our students to become flexible artisans. able of creating and flourishing in their own structure.
Through our comprehensive and innovative training program. we offer our trainees a high-level practical and theoretical training in woodturning. Join us at Escoulen School. where tradition meets modernity and where each student can express their creativity and develop their talent in a stimulating and caring environment.
The careful monitoring and the assiduous work of our teaching team has allowed the Escoulen School to distinguish itself by obtaining the Qualiopi certificate relating to the quality of training action. The quality certification was issued under the following category of action: Training.
