Having
been a furniture maker for thirty years, Monique knows wood very well.
1969 to 1972
woodworking apprenticeship Until 1979, she restored antique furniture.
Creating her own jewellery enables her to bring out the beauty of her favourite woods such as burrs and precious woods. "Today, I let the meandering lines of the grain guide me through the pictures they form. The small knots which are so well spread throughout the wood, the colourful veins, the contrasts between sap and heartwood, are all sources of inspiration to create one-off unique pieces." |
